A TEACHER with a talent for singing has been told she may have the X Factor.
Carol Barcley has been an early years teacher at Bo'ness Public School since 2005, but always nursed a passion for singing.

After auditioning at Glasgow's Hampden stadium, Carol was told she was through to the next round where she will meet Simon Cowell and the rest of the X Factor celebrity panel.

She said: "I'm nervous about meeting Simon but I'm over the moon at getting to this stage. I'm really looking forward to it."

Carol (25) from Uphall knows her audition in a few weeks will be a big challenge, but her pupils are behind her all the way.

She said: "The kids are really excited and they can't wait to see me on the telly!"

For her audition, Carol sang "Smile" by Nat King Cole and showed her Scots roots singing "Little Bird" by Annie Lennox.
