QUEENSFERRY boxing sensation Paul Appleby has been given a date for his forthcoming British title fight.
The fight will now take place on Friday, June 6, at the Kelvin Hall in Glasgow with Paul facing fellow Scot and British featherweight champion John Simpson.

Simpson is the more exper-ienced but Paul, just 20, is unbeaten since he turned pro having won all of his 11 bouts.

Tickets for the fight are available, priced £35 unreserved and £50 ringside reserved by calling 07960 333907.

There is a bus running from Edinburgh to the Kelvin Hall with various pick-up points. The cost is £10 return but seats must be reserved in advance, again by calling the above number.
